Sun, Subs, and Stories

What a beautiful sunny Sunday! We enjoyed ourselves indoors and outdoors today. The Treasure Hunters made and flew kites, after hearing the story of the Mountains of Tibet about a woodcutter who also loved to fly kites and dreamed of living in faraway places.

The Discovery class also made some flying things--butterflys! The tissue paper was fragile to color on, so we had to be very careful and gentle as we made them.

The Explorers Class celebrated Buddha's birthday with a flower shrine.


They also did some thinking about the story of the Wise Men and the Elephant.

The youth group was hard at work preparing sub sandwiches.

Our picnic after church with storyteller Scott Allen was lots of fun! We enjoyed the sunshine and our sub sandwiches while listening to some great stories.
